The position is financed through the Norwegian Research Council funded project Copper in the Early Modern Period. A Comparative Study of Work and Everyday Life in Falun and Røros. This is a joint project between the University of Oslo and the University of Uppsala.
The postdoctoral project must form a constituent part of the Copper in the Early Modern Period project and must deal with subjects and have a theoretical and methodological approach that accord with the project description. It is expected that the postdoctoral project will pay particular attention to developments in Røros and take a comparative approach.
The successful applicant will collaborate with researchers in Uppsala studying the history of metals, and particularly with the group analyzing copper production in Falun. The successful applicant will also have close contacts with related research and teaching teams at IAKH.
