This scholarship is donated by the families of Oxford University old members belonging to the Ko family in memory of Mr Ko Cheuk-hung, MBE (1902-1987). Mr Ko was a philanthropist in British Hong Kong who contributed to the rescuing of the destitute after WWII, and particularly the suppression of abduction and trafficking of women and children.
The scholarship will cover 100% of University and college fees and a grant for living costs (of at least £13,863). Awards are made for the full duration of your fee liability for the agreed course.
You should be applying to start a new MSt in Chinese Studies (2 awards) or MSc in Contemporary Chinese Studies (1 award) course at Oxford.
Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. Preference will be given to graduates of the University of Leeds for one of the awards for the MSt in Chinese Studies.
